Sedona is often celebrated for its stunning red rock formations and endless hiking trails, but not everyone comes here to trek up mountains. If you’re like me, an adventurer who enjoys refined experiences without "roughing it"—this 2-day itinerary is for you. Whether you’re seeking peace, a bit of adventure, or a chance to enjoy Sedona’s beauty without lacing up your hiking boots, here’s how to do it right.

Day 1: Arrival & Exploration

Your Sedona experience begins at Sky Ranch Lodge, a hidden gem perched high above the town with panoramic views that are nothing short of breathtaking. It's budget-friendly, dog-friendly, and everything-friendly. The gardens alone are worth the stay—perfect for an early morning coffee or a quiet evening wind down.

Morning & Late Morning: The Chai Spot & Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village

Start your day with the best chai you'll ever have at The Chai Spot, located in the charming Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. The warmth of the spices and the cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit. Afterward, spend some time exploring the artisanal shops, galleries, and boutiques at Tlaquepaque. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in Sedona’s local culture and pick up a few unique souvenirs.

Just a short drive away is Coffee Pot Restaurant, home to over 100 omelets. This place is an institution in Sedona, and you’ll quickly see why. Whether you're craving something classic or adventurous, there’s an omelet for every taste.

Afternoon Adventure: Red Rock Jeep Tours

In the afternoon, kick things up a notch with a Red Rock Jeep Tour. We opted for the "Wild vs Mild" ride, which was the perfect blend of thrill and sightseeing. The tour guides are knowledgeable and make the experience both fun and informative. You’ll get up close and personal with Sedona’s famous red rocks without breaking a sweat.

Evening: Relax at the LodgeAfter an exhilarating afternoon, head back to Sky Ranch Lodge. Take a moment to enjoy the sunset from the viewpoint—one of Sedona’s best-kept secrets. It’s a peaceful end to a day filled with adventure.

Day 2: Relaxation & Leisure

Sunrise: Sky Ranch Lodge Viewpoint

Before your day fully begins, take a short walk from your room to catch the sunrise right from the lodge's beautiful grounds. You'll notice people paying for parking nearby just to get the same view you can enjoy for free as a guest. It's a serene way to start the day, watching the first light hit the red rocks.

After soaking in the sunrise, drive along Oak Creek Canyon to Indian Gardens Cafe & Market. This quaint cafe offers excellent coffee and a selection of fresh, locally sourced breakfast options. The garden seating area is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet morning surrounded by nature.

For lunch, head to Sedona Hideaway House. The views here are as impressive as the food. It’s the ideal spot to relax with a meal, sip on a cocktail, and gaze out at the red rocks.

Afternoon: Explore Sedona's Local Gems

After lunch, take the time to explore some of Sedona’s other offerings—visit a local art gallery, enjoy a spa treatment, or simply drive around and take in the scenic views.

Evening: Departure

As your time in Sedona comes to a close, take one last look at the stunning scenery. Whether you’re leaving with a bag full of local treasures or just a camera roll of memories, Sedona leaves a lasting impression.
